Zucchini Baby Puree
Zucchini Baby Puree Recipe
Used for Little Mashies Reusable Food Pouches
0.7 lb zucchini, diced (usually about 2 large ones)
Step 1: Cut zucchini into small pieces.
Step 2: Steam the diced zucchini in a stovetop steamer or a Beaba Baby Cook system for about 7 minutes or until soft.
Step 3: Puree the zucchini in a food processor or blender. Zucchini is quite watery so it is not fantastic frozen, it is fine to stay in the fridge for a couple of days though.

I loved Using These
POSTED BY A CUSTOMER
I bought these with my newborn in mind for when she starts solids, however, I have loved using them for the school/preschool-aged siblings, and they look forward to having yoghurt or custard or rice pudding in them. I'm looking forward to trying more recipes for the big kids. They clean and dry well, and the snap closure is great! - even the 4 year old can't open them.
Little Mashies Are Made For Mums
POSTED BY A CUSTOMER
I've tried a few different brands of these, but little mashies are made for mums. They're so so easy to clean! Easy to fill and have a great double seal. My toddler loves the design (especially during his problematic sensory stage where he would only eat if he couldn't see the food)..
The Kids Love Them
POSTED BY MANDS452
My kids love eating yoghurt on the go but I found that we were going through so many it was costing us a fortune and the sugar content etc was not ideal. We have been using the mashies and making our own yoghurt, the kids love them just as much and I am much happier....we are going to try porridge for a quick breakfast on the go now that the weather is cooling down.
Why is zucchini a great baby food choice?
Zucchini is ideal for baby food because of its soft, delicate flavour and it can be added to anything without changing the taste. It contains a high level of water and dietary fibre, a small amount of carbohydrates and sugar, and absolutely no fat. As babies grow older you can cut zucchini into long lengths and use it for finger food on our Little Mashies peek-a-boo meal set. You can use a peeler and make strips like noodles. For toddlers and older kids zucchini can be eaten raw or cooked. It is great with flavoursome dips or pasta sauces in place of crackers or pasta! We use zucchini this way regularly inside our Little Mashies leakproof bento lunchbox!
For Older Kids
For older kids you could try making this in an oven safe dish with a crumble on top... omg delicious! This porridge is also fine to serve and freeze inside Little Mashies squeeze containers.
