Apricot Chicken Meatballs
Apricot Chicken Meatballs Recipe
Used for Little Mashies Reusable Food Pouches
8.8 oz chicken thigh, minced
8 oz pumpkin, grated
8 oz water
5 dried apricots
5 tbsp olive oil
2 oz of flour, extra for coating
Step 1: Add chicken mince with grated pumpkin and apricots and blend in a food processor, stir through the flour so the batter is dry enough to roll into balls.
Step 2: Take a spoonful of the mixture at a time and roll it into a ball. Spread some extra flour onto a plate and roll the chicken balls in the flour so the outside is coated.
Step 3: Cook the chicken balls on low in a fry pan by first adding oil, then placing the chicken balls at least 1cm apart from each other. Turn the balls every few minutes until they are brown on the outside and cooked through the middle. A low heat is best for this so they cook all the way through easily. You can also squash the balls with a fork to make them into “patties”.

I love them!! So sick of freezing containers that you cannot take out and about so I love these! I freeze them and they defrost so quickly! My 6 year old takes them to school and my 6 month old uses them too so convenient!
Little Mashies Are Made For Mums
POSTED BY A CUSTOMER
I've tried a few different brands of these, but little mashies are made for mums. They're so so easy to clean! Easy to fill and have a great double seal. My toddler loves the design (especially during his problematic sensory stage where he would only eat if he couldn't see the food)..
The Kids Love Them
POSTED BY MANDS452
My kids love eating yoghurt on the go but I found that we were going through so many it was costing us a fortune and the sugar content etc was not ideal. We have been using the mashies and making our own yoghurt, the kids love them just as much and I am much happier....we are going to try porridge for a quick breakfast on the go now that the weather is cooling down.
Why is apricot and chicken a great baby food choice?
Apricots are extremely nutrient rich fruit for baby food. They act as a gentle laxative and also help in brain development. Chicken is a highly nutritional baby food and the best part is that it contains less fat that other meats. It is rich in protein, vitamin B6 and the powerful antioxidant selenium.
For Older Kids
For older kids you could try making this in an oven safe dish with a crumble on top... omg delicious! This porridge is also fine to serve and freeze inside Little Mashies squeeze containers.
